Behind The Name

I toyed with a few names for this blog then settled on ‘Snatched Words’. I like it because it’s got lots of interpretations, a bit like parenting itself. The definition of ‘snatch’ is to grasp hastily or a brief, hurried period. This sums up nicely so many parts of my life as I would always like to snatch more sleep, and I’m constantly snatching at time. Nibble, Nibble, Chomp, Chomp

It’s ironic that I’m writing two posts about Fraser in a row when middle children have a reputation as being the ones who are forgotten. Except this post isn’t quite as loved up as the last one. Fraser’s started biting and I’ve no idea whether I’m handling it right as he’s showing no signs of stopping. Luckily he’s restricted the biting so far to immediate family with his poor sister bearing the brunt of it, and the baby escaping so far. Not A Baby Anymore

I cried the other night because Fraser isn’t a baby anymore. At two and a half, I know he hasn’t been a baby for a while really. It hit me hard suddenly though and I felt it in the pit of my stomach.
